Dear Friend of Mission,
I am sure you are aware of what God is doing through our ministry with the War on AIDS program in Nigeria. This program is mainly preventive and we are targeting high school students. So far, the program has been very successful.
This year we have already printed 15,000 AIDS booklets and purchased 14,000 bracelets with the inscription, "Vow of Virtue", "No to AIDS". We are sharing educational information on AIDS, the gospel of Jesus, and these materials to students at no cost to them.
Our AIDS instructors are working on this program daily in Nigeria. However, I am needed to make this year's closing presentations. I have been scheduled to make a presentation to the State Commissioner of the Ministry of Education in Benue State, all the Principals and AIDS workers in the Otukpo Local Government area, six Secondary Schools, and a dedication of our recently completed Church building in Otukpo.
These meetings were schedule for September 15th. Unfortunately these meetings would not be held this month, because I am not able to be there. The reason is simply due to lack of funds to pay for the trip.
To make this important trip I need your help. I need $4,500 to cover the trip expenses including tickets, local transportation, and more. I am sending this 'S.O.S' letter to some of my friends and supporters.
I am asking for a gift of $50, $100 or more to help met this cost. If you are not able, send whatever God lays on your heart. Your gift will speak volumes and I will appreciate it.
This trip has been rescheduled for October 17th. I need your response right away. This is a worthy course. I know there are many needs competing for your dollars; however, I request in the name of Jesus that you give this need a serious consideration. I pray and I know that this trip will bring much harvest to the kingdom of God and to you personally.
I have enclosed a response form and a return envelope for your convenience. I am looking forward to hearing from you. I am beginning to make preparation by faith in what I believe God will do through you.
